Sheaths and Scabbards

Like my holsters, all sheaths are made of oak-tanned shoulder leather, and can be either cut or carved for embellishment. I also offer pierced designs like the sheath below, left, where an inner layer of leather is made visible through designs cut through the outer leather. Some of the sheaths pictured above are actually bi-sheaths holding not one but two knives.

This sheath was crafted for a damascus kard (a Persian blade), and is a pierced pattern with red leather backing. The chevron cross-hatched pattern along the blade length is carved into the leather.
This folk style pouch sheath sports a carved celtic design along the blade length, a think welt and ornate double stitching.
This stilletto sheath needed to be thin and fine to match the slender stilletto blade. The seam goes up the back of the sheath where it is not visible. This sheath was designed to be separate from the hanger so that it can be worn in various locations.
How do you make a sheath for a ZigZag knife? I captured the tip in a pouch, with a sturdy backing to prevent the blade from tangling and a strap to secure the ricasso. The secret was to make the backing wide enough to prevent the user from accidentally contacting the edge of the blade.
Sheath prices vary greatly depending on the size and shape of the knife and the type and degree of embellishment on the sheath. Conn-tact me for details.
